The untethered soul

The Untethered Soul is one of my favourite books ๐Ÿ“–โ˜บ๏ธ Iโ€™ve read it so many times I know it almost word for word and I tell everyone to read it lol ๐Ÿ˜… This one, along with a couple others did change my life. It helped me to be able to watch my thoughts instead of getting caught up in them. It taught me to be able to look inside and peel back layers and examine what is going on, on a deeper level. It helped me realize that we canโ€™t control anything in our external environment and itโ€™s only when we stop trying to control it that we truly live and find peace.

Books have helped me evolve probably more than anything else itโ€™s crazy, if I feel like Iโ€™m straying from my centre or old wounds and conditioning are resurfacing I pick back up my favorite ones and remind myself of some simple truths and then everything is manageable again. Authors like Michael Singer and Eckhart Tolle are so wise that if you really let their words sink in and keep applying it to life then things do finally shift. Life becomes much lighter, problems seem less important and you realize that all that really matters is being present here and now. Grateful to these authors for sharing. The inward journey definitely is never ending and we need anchors to help us along the way. Other people are great but theyโ€™re not always available and we canโ€™t always rely on them.

For me itโ€™s books, dance, movement, nature and meditation ๐Ÿ–ค
